Fungi that would normally digest the wood stall at each glue line, so scraps linger for years while the adhesive chemistry slowly weathers out into the surrounding soil.

- Sawdust from cutting plywood carries the same resins as the sheet — sweep it into the trash, not onto the pile or garden paths.
